The Thalys originated from the LVG North high speed line between Paris and Brussels, today the line extend to Köln, Dusseldorf and second line to Amsterdam. The line are base in two models build i between 1996ß1997, PBA (base on the French TGV Atlantique line) and PBKA for needs Thalys with speed 300 Km. Like the high speed lines in Europe is a great option for continental travel limiting carbon footprint (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/datablog/2009/sep/02/carbon-emissions-per-transport-type), the electrification network, the Thalys has been refurnished to updated for comfort, high speed internet.
